Il third round of this 2024 season is almost over, but the surprises and twists they are certainly not lacking. To the chaotic Sprint Race we add the penalties imposed by the FIA to Hadjar – who had to say goodbye to his first victory of the season – and those received by Bearman and Crawford. The Feature Race is missing to declare the Australian F2 GP weekend over: here's what happened.
Back and forth between Hauger and Antonelli
From the front row of the F2 Australian GP Feature Race, Dennis Hauger and Kimi Antonelli start well, moving away from the brawl behind them. Antonelli immediately goes on the attack of the MP Motorsport team driver, not even letting him finish the first lap at the head of the group. A constant back and forth between the two, but Hauger wins, which takes back the provisional first position.
hands, who had lost a position at the start, manages to overtake Verschoor and moves behind Maloney. The Indian, the only driver in the first two rows not to have mounted soft tyres, turns out to be faster in this one competition phase. After Maloney, Kush Maini goes after Antonelli and moved into second position shortly before the yellow flag was displayed.

The yellow flag, which later became Virtual Safety Car, was exhibited after that Durksen finished his run in the meadow following a blockage.
Early end of games for Dennis Hauger
The Virtual Safety Car gives drivers the opportunity to skip the mandatory pit stop without wasting too much time. Dennis Hauger leads the group of pilots parading in the pit lane. But it is precisely the Norwegian who once returned to the track he loses control of the car at turn 6. With cold tires, Hauger, first has a front left locking and in an attempt to turn it goes to the curb early, thus ending up against the wall and causing the Safety Car to enter the track.
On lap 15 the Safety Car returns and Hadjar finds himself in fifth position after a lucky pit stop, but he is virtually first. The Campos Racing team driver passes Barnard while Antonelli, virtually second, must try to overtake the Englishman as soon as possible. On lap 21 Paul Aron breaks the deadlock and in one fell swoop The Prema driver and Barnard pass. Antonelli follows the Estonian, thus leaving Taylor Barnard in increasingly difficulty behind.

F2: Hadjar wins the Australian GP Feature Race
Increasingly dark weekend for Pepe Martì and Bortoleto who were involved in a collision at the start yesterday. In the F2 Feature Race of the Australian GP however, the Brazilian was forced to withdraw the car due to technical problems Marti received one penalty of 10 seconds for rear-ending Bearman.
On lap 25 Maloney overtakes a Andrea Kimi Antonelli in difficulty with the second set of tyres. The Italian found himself defending fourth position from Ritomo Miyata on the final lap on the Melbourne track. Isaac Hadjar fly towards the finish line, taking back that victory which had been taken from him in the Sprint Race. Paul Aron and Zane Maloney get on the podium with him, while in the center of the grid Bearman struggles and manages to get the last point available.
