Waiting for the weekend when the Formula 2 will return to the track in Imola, some of the drivers on the grid will keep their time busy by driving different cars to those they are normally used to. Among these also Zane Maloney e Jack Crawford, both pilots will be engaged in Formula E with the team Andretti.
Maloney and Crawford will represent Andretti Formula E in Berlin and beyond
During this spring break, some drivers on the Formula 2 grid will have the opportunity to testing new cars. After the news that Antonelli will run with Mercedes F1 e barnard with McLaren FE, Maloney and Crawford are also added to the list of drivers who will take to the track with Andretti Formula E.
Andretti Global has in fact announced that the two drivers in the preparatory category they will represent the team during the next rookie tests that will be held in Berlin on May 13th. But not only, Maloney, who is a reserve and development driver for Andretti FE, will take part in the session Free Practice 0 of the Misano E-Prix on April 12.
Ready for a new challenge
With the Misano session, the Barbadian driver will move up to four appearances driving the Andretti Formula E Porsche 99 x Electric. He had already represented the team last season in the tests dedicated to rookies in Berlin, subsequently driving during Free Practice 0 of the Rome E-Prix and finally at the pre-season tests in Valencia. Maloney said: “I look forward to representing Andretti FE at Misano and Berlin. I thank them for the trust placed in me. It will be interesting see how the development work to which I contributed was transferred to the machine who will driveor".
Crawford, the tests dedicated to rookies will constitute his debut with electric. The Aston Martin Development program driver will be the seventh American to get behind the wheel of a Formula E car.”I'm very happy.
