In recent days there has been talk about how Alpine was the team most active on the market, after having signed two big names: Sanchez and Broadhurst. Today however, Ferrari proved to be just as active as the French team, announcing thearrival of Loic Serra and Jerome d'Ambrosio.
Ferrari announcement: Serra and d'Ambrosio arrive in Maranello
It seems that Ferrari's purchasing campaign is not over yet. After having succeeded infirm to bring the 7-time World Champion to Italy, Lewis Hamilton, began looking for technical and managerial figures. Through a press release, the Scuderia Ferrari HP, announced the arrival in Maranello of two reinforcements, Serra and d'Ambrosio, both coming from Mercedes AMG F1 team.
Loic Serra, born in 1972, will take on the role of Head of Chassis Performance Engineering, reporting by Enrico Cardile. The Frenchman will coordinate the work of several departments, including Track Engineering, Aero Development, Aero Operations and Vehicle Performance. After graduating in mechanical engineering he worked in Michelin , and then moved on to Formula 1 bmw-sauber, until the recent adventure with Mercedes AMG F1 team.

October 1st: the beginning of the new adventure
Jerome d'Ambrosio will instead take on the role of Deputy Team Principal, reporting directly to Fred Vasseur. At the same time, the former Belgian driver will take over the direction of the Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, the program reserved for young talents. Born in Belgium in 1985, he dedicated himself to a racing career until 2020.
To his credit, d'Ambrosio has one victory in GP2, three in Formula E and 20 Formula 1 GPs between 2011 and 2012. At Brackley he worked alongside Toto Wolff, team principal of the silver arrows, taking care of the youth program of the Stuttgart company.
The statement released by the Maranello team also reported that both Loic Serra and Jerome d'Ambrosio, they will begin their adventure with Scuderia Ferrari HP starting next October 1st.
