More Verstappen, indeed, always Verstappen. But there is certainly no shortage of surprises. The Australian GP qualifying they are characterized by the Dutchman who finishes ahead of a super Carlos Sainz and his teammate Sergio Perez. There were many certainties but also some news at the end of the Melbourne qualifying, as evidenced by the drivers' scores at the Fanta F1. Super Max, what a killer performance from Tsunoda!
Max Verstappen confirms himself ahead of everyone and wins the qualifying pole position for the Australian GP, which earns the Dutchman a super +5 for all his fantasy managers (ready to become +10 for whoever deployed him as captain). Excellent performances also by Sainz and the remaining drivers who managed to qualify for Q3 (except Perez) and who, regardless of the position achieved, take home a bonus of +3. Great performance, in this respect, by Yuki tsunoda which achieves a brilliant eighth position to try to defend tomorrow for the good of both the team and its fantasy managers.
Perez penalized: +0 for him
The biggest disappointment, if you like, of the weekend came from Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion finished only eleventh and was unable to take home more than 1 point, as well as Albon (the only one to race for Williams), Bottas, Magnussen and Ocon. Nothing to be done, however, for Hulkenberg, Gasly, Ricciardo and Zhou who miss out on Q2 and will start tomorrow's race from a base of 0 points. Besides them, 0 points also for Sergio Perez following the penalty taken at the end of qualifying for an impediment against Hulkenberg
