La Formula 3 she is ready to return on track for the Feature Race of the Australian GP. In Melbourne the first row is a tricolor triumph: Leonardo Fornaroli departing from pole position and next to him a sprinter Gabriele Mini. So let's see what happened in this one second race of the weekend down under!
Carambola on the first lap: four drivers out
Excellent start for Fornaroli and Minì, when the five traffic lights of the Feature Race went out Formula 3 of the Australian GP. Not even after four corners is the yellow flag displayed: Inthraphuvasak it's in the fence after a contact with Tramnitz. The Thai driver crashes off the track Sophia Floersh, which is forced to retire.
However, the Safety Car enters the track after contact between Smith and Loake. At turn 11 the home hero Smith is found wheel to wheel with Shields and Loake, but there is no space for all three. Rodin's pilot, Loake, ends up in the gravel, taking the Australian with him.
Fiery fight for the top positions
In the center of the group there fight is more intense than ever. Würz attacks ART Grand Prix driver, Mansell, but it goes wide and Montoya takes advantage of this to get closer to the two opponents. Wurz he makes his shoulders broad, while the Campos Racing driver took tenth position over Mansell.
On lap 12 of 23, Beganovic seems to have more compared to his teammate, Minì. The Swede passes him, the Palermo native does not offer any resistance and now he is the #1 driver chasing Fornaroli to take the lead in the Feature Race of the Australian F3 GP. While Browning overtakes the Alpine Driver Academy driver, Beganovic takes to the exhaust of the #4 Trident car. Without hesitation the pilot of the Ferrari Driver Academy passes Fornaroli who has difficulty managing oversteer, thus gaining the lead of the race.
F3: Beganovic wins the Feature Race of the Australian GP
On lap 20 Gabriele Mini gets on on the trail of Luke Browning for third position. The pilot Prema he goes off course and tries to brake on the Englishman who however tries to answer. Despite the attempted defense of the current championship leader, Minì extends his lead, securing a position on the podium.
Dino Beganovic wins the Feature Race of the Australian F3 GP. Three all-Italian cars get on the podium of Melbourne with Fornaroli second for Trident and Minì third for Prema. Fantastic result too the one obtained from Sebastian montoya, which moves from 15th position to sixth, while Würz concludes the Feature in the top 5.
