It's official: Nico Hulkenberg will leave Haas at the end of the season to join Sauber in 2025. Audi's strategic design, debuting in Formula 1 in 2026, it takes more and more shape. With this coup, the German company ensures an excellent support for the one who will be chosen as the first squire of the team of the four rings. In this regard, there are options for the arriving team, but it will take time to unravel a market situation that is still at a standstill.
Hulkenberg enters the Audi design
The German pilot finds in the move of Audi a pleasant epilogue to his career. Out of the circus for three years, he was recalled by Haas to look for a relaunch during the regulatory change. Thanks to Audi's entry into F1, Nico will have the opportunity to write the last pages of his adventure in the top series with a team whose name bodes well. The house of the four rings thus secures a compatriot driver, taking time before making the most important move: that of the first driver.
It's not a secret, Audi has been orbiting Sainz for a while in an attempt to snatch it from options that are currently more interesting: Mercedes and Red Bull. The Audi alternative is certainly tempting, but the management of the Madrid player takes time in the hope of placing the Spaniard in a safer seat, at least in the medium term. All that remains is to wait for the evolution of the market, with Audi also keeping its sights on Or with e Perez, in case the latter were to leave Red Bull.
