YawClub has entered the world of NFTs with the launch of the first official collection called “The Yawks”, a new vision of the world of sport.
The collection depicts very nice people Yak, a new, informed and irreverent community, with features selected from thousands of possible combinations and related to the world of sport. From the Yawk with the pilot suit, to the one with a racket in his teeth, or the cycling helmet. Each of them has many details which however create a very precise and distinct identity.
How many are there in total? Well, we've created 10.000 different combinations!
What are NFTs?
Before getting to know Yawks better, however, it is necessary to explain what they are and talk about the market they belong to and which is expanding, becoming more and more popular, namely that of NFTs.
Uniqueness, gamification, ownership, storytelling. NFTs combine all these aspects. They are tokens that identify a digital content making it one of a kind. A sort of digital certificate of authenticity. They can represent drawings, music, real works of art. NFTs are designed to give collectors something that can't be copied: ownership of the work.
Several communities are based on NFTs. A bit like what happens in traditional collecting in which real groups are created based on a particular object.

NFTs are unique and certified collector's items, protected by a blockchain, can be purchased by anyone and have various uses and returns depending on the project and the community they belong to. Ownership of NFTs can be transferred easily, efficiently, and anywhere in the world. Yawks are not only the result of YawClub's first collection of NFTs, aimed at uniting the community even more and supporting our project, but they will also play a key role in the development of the next steps of the YawClub project.
How to buy YAKW
Buying Yawk is really simple, and you can do it on the site YawClub. The currency to buy them is Solana, a cryptocurrency. The first step is to create a Wallet, i.e. a digital wallet (where our Yawk will go) and which must be compatible with the currency used. Phantom it is the easiest wallet to set up and use for this operation and you can download it on both Apple and Android, or install it as an extension of your browser! Other compatible wallets can be Ledger, Solflare, Torus, Slope. Once a wallet has been created, go back to the YawClub website and just click "MINT A YAWK“, select the wallet and buy your own Yawk at the cost of 1.5 SOL.
Our Roadmap
As already mentioned, we are only taking the first steps of a path that already includes several stages.
At 50% of the mint, the first users in the weekly ranking will win the T-Shirt of their favorite team. Furthermore, the App will undergo an important update including the LIVE sport of the main world sports.
At 70% of the mint, a marketplace exclusive to our Yawk-themed community will be open.

- CAN I SELL THEM AFTER PURCHASING THEM?
Yes, Yawks can be sold after purchase through dedicated marketplaces. You can choose a sale price or simply receive an offer from a third party user.
Just like with cryptocurrencies, a collection of NFTs increases in value as market demand increases and the overall supply of NFTs available for sale decreases. The value of an NFT can be given by the hype that is created around a particular NFT, creating an additional value based on the increase in interest which can therefore also justify the increase in its price.
