It's true, we're still in 2023, but the head of many F1 teams is already at the 2026. But the one that looks to the future with a special eye is Audi, that will enter the circus for the first time in its brilliant history.
Seidl scans the horizon: his name is Sebastian Vettel
In order not to be caught unprepared, the CEO of the team Andreas Seidl he's already scrutinizing something on the pilot list more palatable. The line of thought of the house of the Four Rings is clear: it needs people of experience to immediately fight for the top positions. The choice of the German was also made on this line of thought: Seidl, in fact, was also team principal, precisely in the years of recovery of the McLaren. Another philosophy that the newborn stable wants to carry forward is definitely the “German factor”, which will most likely also be followed for the choice of pilots. In the last few hours, many rumors have been circulating in the paddock about the possible decision taken by Audi.

To set up these theories was the Swiss newspaper View and, given the Swiss origins of Sauber (acquired by the German company), they could be well founded. The indiscretion would in fact speak of a possible return of the four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel. The former Aston Martin and Ferrari left the scene at the end of last season, but according to many drivers his didn't feel like a farewell, but a arrivederci. The German, which perfectly matches the direction taken by the brand, would seriously stand if the situation were real evaluating the proposal.

Not just Vettel: Audi is aiming for another Ferrari driver
Obviously, the line-up must be made up of two drivers, and Audi already seems to be heading towards another very hot name: Carlos Sainz Jr. The Spaniard, whose contract with the Ferrari, however, he swore love to the Redhead a few weeks ago. In his recent interviews, the son of art reiterated how is really attached to the Maranello team and will do everything to honor his contract. Carlos' father, however, could be the proponent of the dream of the German company, considering that he still races for Audi in the Dakar and who knows if he can let his son know that Germanic reality.
