between bad luck, yellow flags and errors, Max Verstappen failed to take pole position at the Silverstone Grand Prix. In his place was an incredible Carlos Sainz which, on his Ferrari, concluded in front of the pilot Red Bull to the teammate Charles Leclerc.
Verstappen, missed pole… for a flag
A result a bit unexpected, at least based on what we saw during the qualifying session. In relation under conditions weather, la Red Bull he showed his great ability in knowing how to quickly bring the tires up to temperature. For these reasons, Verstappen he had shown that he has something more than the others during this afternoon, but it didn't go smoothly.

Race focus
The problem that cost the possible (but obviously not certain) Verstappen pole, was the yellow flag following the three hundred and sixty performed by Leclerc. A mistake on the part of the Monegasque who forced Verstappen to slow down. Despite everything, however, the Dutchman seemed quite satisfied at the end of qualifying, in which he declared:
“Qualifying was complicated: the track dried out, then it rained again and we had to get the times right. Overall the car worked very well, but Q3 in this condition is a lottery. When you manage to set the fastest lap, everything is decided. I got the yellow flag in the last attempt, but still being on the front row is good for us. In race We have a good car, both in the wet and in the dry. Competition? It's not just the first lap that counts. You have to think about managing the tyres. We'll see tomorrow".
