Despite the long years still of the contract that bind him to Formula 1, Max Verstappen reflects and is already thinking about the future. The two-time world champion has in fact returned to talking about the possibility to leave the Circus to try new activities, always in the field of four wheels.
Very long contract
For now, the contract is clear: Verstappen has in fact extended his marriage to Red Bull until 2028. Another six years that see the Dutch linked to Milton Keynes stables, with a union that for now is bearing the fruits that the Austrians hoped for. Two consecutive world titles, with the clearly strongest car on the track.

For some time, however, Verstappen has focused on recent ones interviews about what might be his future, therefore at the end of the contract. The possibility of retiring from Formula 1 is by no means excluded, on the contrary.
"Formula 1 is great fun and I'm having great success – said the Dutchman – but I don't deny that I would also like to do other things. I know my contract with Red Bull is until 2028 and I will be 31. I will still be competitive for another couple of years and for this I would like to try a new experience, with less pressure and less eventful”.
Alonso winks at him
Le Mans possibility therefore very open, considering that Fernando Alonso has admitted that he would like to have him as a teammate.
“If Fernando wants, he'll do it in a competitive car just like I want, but that's also because I don't want to race with this project. I prefer a moment to wait what happens and how things will develop. Then I will make my decision."
