Of this Friday of free practice, the only real since maybe we bring home in the end was the beauty of the track. This is more or less what Max thought Verstappen at the end of the second free practice session.
Not a great day
It hasn't been an easy day for the Dutch who hopes to become world champion on this track. The difficulties were various, even if in the end the number one on the grid brought home a good third place in the FP2, after the sixth in the first session. Analysis and comments that must however be made considering the track conditions: in fact we raced in the rain which made the difference.
Verstappen: "I look forward to tomorrow with curiosity"
For this, Verstappen struggles to believe these results and, at the end of FP2, he declared.
“I would have liked a more representative session, but luckily the weather wasn't a total disaster. At least we could go around and do something. But in terms of knowing our pace, even if figuring it out while riding in the wet was complicated. In view of Sunday we could only prepare the basics and little else. That's why I'm looking forward to tomorrow with curiosity to understand how fast we'll be in the dry. Basically it will start from scratch, but it will be the same for everyone. I don't think it will make a huge difference in the values on the grid."
