For the seventh time this season Max Verstappen wins. A race conducted almost in its entirety, as a matter of fact cannibal which he proved himself to be.
Verstappen's first impressions
In the classic post-race interviews, the Dutchman immediately focused on the restarts. According to him, in fact, the most important part of the grand prix was in those two moments: “I think the most important thing for me is being able to stay in front. After that we managed to do our race. Obviously during the VSC we chose not to return, we stuck to our normal strategy and it worked very well. All stints, with all tyres, went very well. I enjoyed myself. Doubts about the strategy? It was clear for a few laps before the Virtual came in that I had managed to create a bit of a gap. We followed the original plan and it was definitely the best thing.".
Almost half the season, but there is already talk of the title
Another point on which David Coulthard wanted to interact with the pilot of the Red Bull is the topic third world title. However, Max responded by saying not to think about the third crown yet, focusing instead on what you shouldn't do wrong during a race weekend: “Third title? I'm not thinking about it right now. We continue to work well with this team, we did an excellent job over the weekend. Many things can go wrong in a weekend, even more so with the Sprint Race. Instead everything went well. Now we focus on Silverstone".
The two-time world champion concluded his interview by briefly mentioning thanks to the orange fans. In fact, the Dutch army flocked en masse to follow their hero, demonstrating all their affection: “Fans? Thank you, they support us a lot. Seeing all that orange in the stands is beautiful.".
