Ferrari: Monza positive
- Sainz's pole is Ferrari's 23rd at Monza: no team has recorded more at any circuit.
- For the first time in his career, Leclerc was beaten by his teammate in qualifying at Monza, ending a 5-year unbeaten streak.
- Both Ferraris qualified in the top 3: the last time this happened was 2018, when Raikkonen and Vettel monopolized the front row. As on that occasion, however, this year too Ferrari missed out on winning on Sunday.
- Sainz finished 11.082s behind winner Verstappen: no non-Red Bull driver had ever managed to finish so close to first place in a race without red flags.
- Sainz led the first 14 laps - a record for a non-Red Bull driver in 2023.
- For the first time in 2023, both Ferraris finished in the top 4.
Red Bull: Verstappen higher and higher
- Verstappen was never the fastest in qualifying at Monza, but he has one pole to his name. In 2021, in fact, Valtteri Bottas won the sprint qualifying (which then counted for the statistical pole) but was penalized for the replacement of the power unit, with Verstappen promoted to pole.
- Verstappen has won 5 times in the last 11 races in which he started from second place.
- Verstappen is the first driver in history to win 10 races in a row, surpassing the record set by Sebastian Vettel in 2013.
- Verstappen took his 27th victory since the start of 2022, equaling Sir Jackie Stewart's total of victories (holder of the most victories from 1973 to 1987).
- Red Bull achieved their sixth double of the season, surpassing the record of 5 set last year.
- Verstappen is the first driver in history to win the four classics on the calendar in the same year (Monaco, Silverstone, Spa and Monza).
Williams: Albon continues his top moment
- Albon's sixth place is the best qualifying finish for Williams at Monza since Stroll's second place in 2017.
- For the first time since joining Williams, Albon scored points on two consecutive weekends.
Mercedes: Monza to forget
- In qualifying, Hamilton had to settle for eighth fastest time: his worst result in Monza since 2013 (twelfth).
- Hamilton hasn't been on the podium at Monza since last decade.
McLaren: for Norris a two-faced Monza
- Ninth in qualifying, Norris hadn't done this badly in Monza since his debut year (14th).
- Norris finished the race in eighth place, maintaining his 100% career top 10 finish at Monza.
Alpine: Monza no
- The last time Alpine was eliminated in Q1 with both cars was the 2016 Singapore GP, when the team was still called Renault.
Aston Martin: limited damage
- Alonso's ninth place is only the Spaniard's second points finish in Monza in the last 10 years (after eighth place in 2021).
Alpha Tauri: Lawson on the rise, Tsunoda betrayed by the machine
- Lawson's 11th place is the second AlphaTauri's best result in 2023 (de Vries had finished a maximum of 12th, Ricciardo 13th).
- Tsunoda failed to start for the second time in Monza after 2021 and for the third time in 3 years overall. Along with the two Italian "did-not-starts", there is also the one suffered in Jeddah in 2022.
