With up to 3 Power Units available, before the penalty, the management in this respect it will be of fundamental importance for all teams.
Verstappen: "Let's think about ourselves"
Verstappen is therefore ready. The world champion launches the challenge to Ferrari, also responding to the declarations made at the beginning of the week by Mattia Binotto. "I think Ferrari are very competitive and it's good for the sport, we are focused on ourselves and I don't really care what the others say. Our goal every weekend is to win the race. Honestly my approach is the same as every other weekend. There have been unfortunate circumstances in the past which have not yet allowed me to get on the podium here in Baku".
The salary cap issue
The possibility of a salary cap for riders caused much discussion during the week. On the subject, Verstappen commented as follows: “I believe that F1 is becoming so popular above all thanks to the drivers and therefore I don't find it right to intervene on the compensation to be paid to the drivers. However, it's all still very vague. It would be a decision that would also undermine the minor categories, because sponsorship agreements often provide for percentages to be recognized in the future if the driver manages to get to F1. With less substantial salaries, sponsorships to try to make a career would also decrease, complicating the path of many riders".
