It is a Ferrari which is still not convincing. The SF-23 still feels difficult to drive. During the qualifications of the Miami GP, Sergio Perez takes home pole position ahead of Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz. In this "virtual podium", Charles is missing Leclerc and Max Verstappen. The Monegasque will start seventh following a bad mistake made in Q3. Commenting on this incident was team principal Frederic Vasseur who spoke to the microphones of Sky:
How do you evaluate Leclerc's accident?
“Charles was borderline. He was fastest in sector one and two and he could have taken pole. Sin".
Did he exaggerate or do you prefer to have a driver like this?
“When you're fighting for pole you have to push. It cannot be said that she pushed too hard. I don't want to say it's positive, but it's better this way than closing qualifying and not pushing".

Vasseur warns: "Beware of the weather for tomorrow"
What are your feelings about tomorrow?
“We have to look at the weather because the forecasts are not positive. There could be showers but not only”.
Was it a good session?
“The pace in qualifying was good, even if the outcome wasn't what we wanted. We did a couple of fast sectors so the potential is there”.
What worries you about tomorrow?
“The top speed compared to Red Bull worries me. It will be a long race and, given the positions, we need to try and have the pace to overtake."
Satisfied with the updates?
“I think we are moving in the right direction. When you do these qualifying it's hard to tell but Carlos had the pace too. Now we have to reset and think about tomorrow”.
