Frederic Vasseur on the Wolffs' side: the team principal of Ferrari analyzed, during the Christmas lunch he had with journalists, the dynamics he has seen in recent weeks the FIA open an investigation against Toto and Susie Wolff. Both had been accused of conflict of interest, even though - around forty-eight hours after the opening of the investigation - the case was closed by the Federation itself. "Honestly – admitted Vasseur – I believe all of these stories are quite embarrassing, even more so if I think they started through a newspaper article. In a situation involving a person, as in this case, I simply believe that the FIA should have taken more time to analyze. It was necessary to understand the situation well, unlike the 24 hours that passed between the first and second announcement".

Vasseur speaks out about the Wolff investigation: "There are many things to change with the FIA"
A figure that the Ferrari team principal didn't like. Vassuer has in fact made it clear that the FIA's way of acting it doesn't seem to work. Things must change, if possible, starting next season, as told by the same French engineer who identified it the main problems present in the regulation: “We have a competent body which is the F1 Commission which has worked more than well, in my opinion. The main problem that we have seen especially during this season is related to consistency of the decision. All this is still a topic within the Commission” – confirmed Vasseur.
“Track limits need to be reviewed”
“Some, such as i track limits, must be revised, not to mention the maximum time on the qualifying lap: Russell went to the stewards 14 times and was never penalised. The rules cannot be considered correct. We only have one goal at the moment: to continue working together, especially if we consider the work that will come and will be done in view of 2026."
