The SF-23 presented itself in front of the circuit of Barcelona and with a completely new dress. The findings of FP1 e FP2 testify one Ferrari with clearer ideas than usual. Team principal Frederic talks about the updates on the red Vasseur.
Ferrari's positive Friday
The Scuderia took to the track in a chameleonic guise. On Sainz's SF-23 there were already updates bellies and bottom, while Leclerc he rode in the first practice session with the original version of the car from Maranello. The aim was to carry out comparative tests, and after Sainz's endorsement, the upgrades also appeared on the Monegasque's car.
It's not the positions on the final scoreboard – eighth and ninth, then sixth and seventh - that give confidence to the men from Maranello, but the chronometer results of the race pace. Both with Leclerc and with Sainz, the SF-23 printed times up to second strength. Red Bull is impregnable, mind you, but the hope of grabbing a podium returns to the hearts of the fans. Redhead team principal Frederic Vasseur spoke about the updates.

Vasseur Says Yes: The Positive Feedback from Updates
The French number one of Ferrari has approved the updates landed by Maranello to try to relaunch not only the season, but the regulatory era of the red. “This is an important step, even because we are opening different doors for future developments. When you keep the same philosophy of the car at a certain point you struggle to develop. We wanted to take this step, we did it and it's working pretty well, but let's see what the outcome will be this weekend and in the coming ones”.
Regarding the race and qualifying, Vasseur has appeased the spirits of the fans: "Since the beginning of the season we have been fighting for pole every Saturday, I don't know if we will be able to do the same thing tomorrow but that remains our goal, and then we'll have to be more consistent in the race because that hasn't been our best feature so far. But I believe that with this package we are going in the right direction in this sense".
