Vandoorne: 'Strange for me to drive home'
Stoffel triumphed last year Vandoorne. However, the current world champion, today in DS Penske, acknowledges that the cars have changed, but he hopes he can have a good weekend. In this regard, we report the words of pilot Belgian spoke exclusively to our microphones in view of tomorrow's race.
We are in Monaco, last year you won but the cars have changed compared to last year, how do you feel about this race weekend?
"We will see. Of course, everything is very different. This is a new generation of cars and also of teams but I really like this circuit. I have done quite well in the past and I will try to do the same this weekend but there are no guarantees. You just have to think about having a clean weekend and be confident in the result”.

You live here, is it strange for you to race here or is it almost better to drive on the same streets every day?
“To be honest, it's a bit strange because I sleep in my own bed, at my house so it's quite strange to be on a race weekend. The problem is especially wanting to sleep at home because when you stay at home your mind, your head is a little more relaxed so sometimes you have to make sure your mind is focused on the race but other than that I think overall it's great to race here".
