It is now known that Formula 1 is attractive, and the FIA has opened the process for increase squads from 10 to 12. After Andretti, the Panthera team (which has been trying to enter for several years) and the new one Equal formula, a new element seems to be taking shape on the horizon.
We are talking about Hitech Grand Prix, a team known to enthusiasts for its participation in minor formulas (Formula 2 and Formula 3 among others). Just Hitech would be preparing behind the scenes for participation from 2026 with an unprecedented project and expansion.

According to what reported by RacingNews365Indeed, hitech would already have some parts in testing in the wind tunnel. In this case, the tests would be in the former headquarters Mercedes, now used by the applied sciences sector of the Formula 1 team. This signal indicates a possible partnership between the two teams for the use of German engines, with the transformation of Hitech into a possible "team b" like AlphaTauri for Red Bull. The new team, codenamed H26, has already begun a summary development of the car, pending regulatory confirmations which should arrive at the latest 18 months before the start of the 2026 season.
The British team appears to currently have around sixty people working on the project from the Hitech base. Obviously the construction of a structure - already authorized - dedicated to Formula 1 is being planned. The economic support necessary for a new team seems to come from the Middle East, although there have been no confirmations or denials in this sense. According to Toto Wolff, around one billion euros is needed for a serious project. What is certain is that the fight to enter Formula 1 has become increasingly interesting and hard-fought, with four teams for two places and an economic factor that seems increasingly important for the future.
