After months of waiting, the air of Formula 1 is starting to breathe again. In a few days, the Haas will kick off the presentations of the single-seaters for next season, unveiling the 2023 livery. To follow Red Bull, Williams and the rest of the teams, spread throughout the month of February. In most cases it will be a matter of rendering, and it will be difficult to grasp the more technical details of the single-seaters, deliberately disguised so as not to give hints and ideas to the opponents. The first opportunity we'll have to study them closely and see how they behave on the track is the pre-season tests in Bahrain from 23 to 25 February. Here are the times when the tests will be carried out.
A dense schedule
In 2022 thanks to the unknowns brought about by the new regulation, the tests took place in two 3-day sessions, and on different tracks, Bahrain and Barcelona. Between one session and another we saw various innovations, different versions of the single-seaters which showed significant problems when first approaching the track. The correlation between the simulator data and the track data was not at all satisfactory in some cases, and teams like the Mercedes they had to put their hands on the single-seater immediately and several times. Only at the end of the championship did the project start working. The team's only victory also came in Brazil, with George Russell who hopes to live a different 2023, right from the beginning.

From those who have found a winning project in their hands in 2022, an equally satisfying start is expected. For those who instead had to recover during last season, revolutionizing their initial project, three days of testing may not be enough. Especially if problems arise. The teams will have 4 hours to run in the morning (8-12 Italian time), and 4 and a half hours to shoot in the afternoon (13-17:30 Italian time). With an hour break in which there will be space for the pilots' press conference (12:05 Italian time) and team principals (12:35 Italian time). The program - which should also be broadcast live on television - will begin on February 23.
