During the long Easter break, the team principal of the team Haas has made some statements that are unusual for her figure.
Steiner laments: “F1 is not a show”
It is precisely the South Tyrolean team principal who spoke thus when asked about the growing interest on the part of the entities managing the image of F1 for making the sport spectacular.
The season that has just begun with only three races held is worrying a lot, the disappointment for the few steps forward made by Ferrari (if not backwards), the difficulty of Mercedes to bring a valid project after the regulatory change of 2022 and a Red Bull that seems unattainable, all the work done by Liberty Media to bring the public back to F1 is considered at risk, for what is expected to be a predictably boring season.
"The show is secondary, but I think it will resolve itself and in any case we now have a good match between Max Verstappen and Checo Perez, which does not seem to be without sparks, without show” – reassures Steiner.
The Netflix star
It sounds strange, however, to hear these words from what is considered "the star of Netflix". Guenther Steiner is in fact the figure to have received the most attention after the most successful move by Liberty Media, the collaboration with Netflix in what is the TV series on F1 "Drive to Survive".
Fame came especially after his famous "Don't smash my f***ing door” of the second season of the series, which crowned him as an irreverent personality within the circus.
Irreverent personality but undoubtedly also very smart, so much so that he exploited his television popularity by writing a book that recalls, at least in the title, the reason for his celebrity "Surviving to Drive", where he talks about his role and life as a team principal, as a true influencer would do.

"It's just a hobby for me”
Despite the popularity that the spectacularization of the sport has brought Haas team principal therefore he remains faithful to the sport, which must in his opinion (and in the opinion of all F1 lovers) remain the priority of the FIA and of Liberty Media itself. As wise Kimi Raikkonen would say, fame and Netflix are fortunately “just a hobby” for our dear Guenther.
