Formula 1 returns to the track this weekend and does so with the Austrian GP. It will undoubtedly be a weekend very unpredictable and to be followed with particular attention for various reasons. The Ferrari, focusing our attention on the track, is undoubtedly the team that has the paddock's eyes on it, considering The updates which will debut during FP1 – with danger pioggia always around the corner. But some news also comes from FIA.
GP Austria, there is the Sprint
As we know, the Spielberg weekend will be characterized by the Sprint. Today in fact - after FP1 at 13.30pm - we will take to the track at 17.00pm for the qualifying, which will decide the starting grid for the Sunday race. Saturday morning, instead space for Sprint Shootout, fundamental for establishing the starting grid for the Sprint race scheduled for the afternoon at 16.30pm.

FIA, removed the obligation to use the new soft in SQ3
We are talking about the second weekend of the season, out of the six planned, in which the new weekend format established by the Federation will take place, which provides for some very specific rules: during the Sprint Shootout, in fact, the drivers are obliged to record the time with a new set of medium tires in both SQ1 and SQ2 and a soft one in SQ3. In Baku, we witnessed the first problem with that rule: Norris in fact - who had achieved access to SQ3 - he was unable to record any time, not having a set of new soft tires available. For this reason, the Federation has decided: there will no longer be an obligation for the teams to carry out the SQ3 of the Sprint Shootout with new soft tires. Greater freedom therefore granted to the teams, who after seeing what happened in Azeribaijan, were listened to and satisfied.
