It didn't start from pole, but in the end he took first place anyway. The Sprint of the Brazilian GP goes into the hands of Max Verstappen. The Dutchman, following an excellent start, overtakes Norris and finishes ahead of the McLaren driver and his teammate Perez. First real ring, in a naturally positive sense, from the Mexican who hopes that this mini-podium may only be the beginning of his ascent.
Mercedes gets off to a flying start and loses at the end; Ferrari does the opposite
It confirms what we saw during the entire season Mercedes. The Sprint has always been an opportunity, as well as trying to provide entertainment, to allow to the various teams to understand and have further information for the race, scheduled for tomorrow at 18:00 pm. The two Mercedes drivers close in fourth place with Russell and seventh with Lewis Hamilton. Fifth, however, the Ferrari by Charles Leclerc. The pace of the Monegasque was not bad, even if the choice of preserve a new soft one (sacrificing the Shootout) does not mean that it will prove to be a winner. Mercedes, in fact, seemed to have more in its stride, but Hamilton's late performance collapse it can be a wake-up call. However, it must be considered that both Verstappen and Norris were elusive. “How fast these guys go up front” – Russell admitted on team radio, giving an idea of how Red Bull and McLaren should be the first two forces in the race.

Sainz closes the points
Sixth place, however, for a super Yuki tsunoda which brings home 3 important points for morale both for himself and for the team. The Japanese finishes ahead of his teammate Ricciardo, ninth but out of the points, as we are in Sprint. Same fate, also for Plates tenth, with the Ferrari of Sainz – never really brilliant during the weekend – which takes the last available point with the eighth position.
Brazilian GP: Sprint super approved
One thing seems to be certain: when it comes to Brazil, Sprint is always a must. Regardless of the results, whether we like it or not (which is relative to cheering), the mini-race of the Interlagos GP gave us a unique show: lots of overtaking and pure fun, in the hope that it will also be like this in tomorrow's race, scheduled for 18.00 pm.
