The news that F1 would have competed in Las Vegas in 2023 it had arrived months ago and the only useful information we had was month in which the race will be runi.e. November. More information had come in over the next few days that Liberty Media was said to have bought land right in Vegas to be able to build the circuit also in the very famous area of the named city "Strip".
A letter confirmed by the heads of Liberty Media
In the last few hours, however, a letter circulates dated 28 March, or two days before the grand prix was announced. At first he gave everyone the impression that he was a fake, but in reality confirmations have arrived. To follow up, it was Adam Stern, of the Sports Business Journal, together with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, the government agency that markets events in the city. But which the content of the letter? The latter presents 17 pages in which it is also declared the exact date of the race weekend. It's about the 18th November, a week earlier of the last GP, that of Abu Dhabi. It also reads that the tender will be carried out so that don't go overboard the estimated time for the end, that is 1:30 at night. In the letter are also present the numbers of marshals, cranes and fire extinguishers that will be present within the circuit.

Las Vegas, everything is ready
However, the document does not mention it of the pits and the headquarters of the race direction. Although in May the CEO of Liberty Media Greg maffei had talked about an investment of 240 million dollars to buy land near the center of Vegas. Maffei further stated: “Notably and differently from most venues, F1 and Liberty Media are self-promoting the race in partnership with local entrepreneurs and Live Nation. The construction of this circuit will require an increase in production and investment costs for its development. I would like to point out that Liberty Media has entered into an agreement to acquire 39 acres east of the strip. The goal is block out the design of the circuit and create the areas dedicated to the pits and paddock. However, let's not forget the other hospitality and support structures for the race".
