The end of last F1 season also marked the end of the driving career of the much loved Sebastian Vettel, four-time world champion and loyal Ferrari driver, but in the words of Ted Kravitz, columnist for Sky Sports UK, his return to the circus would not seem so unlikely.
Vettel's farewell
sebastian vettel, designated heir to Michael Schumacher for his talent demonstrated in his debut race (in 2007 replacing Robert Kubica) and for his shared German nationality, he began a career full of satisfactions and just as many regrets. Four world championships with Red Bull and a long contract with Ferrari which unfortunately won't bring any title to Maranello.
Despite his enviable career and his young age (34), Sebastian Vettel decides after two seasons in Aston Martin to say goodbye to racing at the end of 2022. A decision, that of retiring, which was very painful for all the fans, but which the German driver weighed well. Sebastian Vettel very active in environmental protection and recently father of three children, in fact he could no longer match a highly polluting sport like F1 and his desire to be a family man with his passion for racing. So between many broken hearts and expensive dinners with the entire driver grid, Vettel leaves F1.

The return is it utopia?
An exciting gap, which however saw this gap last less than expected. According to the words of Ted Kravitz, commentator of Sky Sports UK de facto Vettel would seem very close, we are talking about 2023 itself, to a return to the paddock, but this time without a suit and helmet. In fact, the position he could occupy is that of consultant for the Milton Keynes team. Role currently played by Helmut Marko, who just this month approaches the threshold of 80 years and who does not seem to be on good terms with the managing director responsible for sports activities of Red Bull Oliver Mintzlaff.
These are Kravitz's words:
"We could see a surprise return of Sebastian Vettel this year, but not as a driver. I really think he's decided not to drive anymore. As a man of integrity that he is I don't think he will disappoint everyone by saying 'You know what, I wasn't being honest when I retired, I will come back as a driver'. Maybe will come back in the future Audi, but I think he will do it at Red Bull and will replace Helmut Marko"
Will we see Seb again in the paddock? There are many hopes but at the moment there is no certainty.
