The 2022 season hadn't started well for Vettel and Aston Martin but we will finally be able to see the number 5 car again in the race!
Sebastian Vettel, who tested positive for Covid-19, had to miss the first two Grands Prix, making way for Nico Hulkenberg who, despite having arrived with a flight taken in a hurry and despite having never lapped during the pre-season tests, was proved a worthy replacement.
However, the 4-time world champion is ready to return for the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. However Sebastian will have to pick up and rebuild a bit the pieces left by Lawrence Stroll's team's bad start to the season. Indeed, Aston Martin are one of only two teams on the grid, along with Williams, who have yet to score a point this season. It will be difficult to return to the garage in such tense weather but let's hope that Vettel's return will benefit the team.
The team communicated the happy news with a tweet, announcing the return of the German on the AMR22 in the stage that the rider won three times: in 2011, 2017 and 2018.
