It is certainly not an easy time for Mick Schumacher. The pilot of Haas in fact sees the its future in great risk, with the intensions of american team which are not yet clear.
Schumacher: "Make useless headlines"
It was undoubtedly a particular start to the season for the German, but gradually, in the last few races he managed to raise his head again, also winning some very important points for him and for his future. However, Mick did not like the media attention that there has been towards him during these difficult months: "People - he has declared - they focus in a certain way on creating big headlines. I understand that people need to make money and do certain things but, on the other hand, I would also appreciate that people would take more time to build concrete facts”.
The analysis of the first part of the season
One particular season, following also of the various mistakes he made, but who has already forgotten: “I don't think about it anymore and I never go back to it. I know what I am capable of. I know what I'm worth, so I just focus on that. I just try to do my best and usually that should be enough to get good results, because it was like that in Formula 2 and Formula 3 and also in Formula 4. In all the championships I participated in in the youth categories I was able to come second or first. So I don't see why I shouldn't be able to do it in Formula 1 as well."
The ascent
The accident that shocked Schumacher, however, doing it start big, it was during the GP of Monaco:
“I knew I had to do something to improve my performance. I think I had to reflect on everything that had happened, but also on why I'm here in Formula 1. I love this sport. So I focused on that and said to myself, 'I'm doing this because I love it and if I don't want to do it, I don't have to.' This helped me get back into a positive position. Basically, I also managed to do a good job."
