Sainz: "In qualifying we will see the true potential"
The Madrilenian did not have any kind of problem with his car, neither yesterday nor this morning. Le news in the Ferrari house, however, they will not be lacking, also because during the tests the choice of the team is very clear: you will have to try many different set ups to understand which way is the right one. This is also the idea of Carlos Sainz, who spoke exclusively to the microphones of Sky. Here are his statements.
What are you looking for these days and have you figured out if this SF-23 fits your driving style?
“Until we take it to the limit in qualifying, I don't know. We'll never push the car to the max at the tests, so I can't tell you. For now I'm trying to do my job: we have a program to complete with the team and I want to do it all. It will help us understand which path to take".
Did you already get the answers you wanted?
"Not yet. Our priority is to improve the race pace. We've always been very strong in qualifying last year, so we're focusing on this aspect in particular”.
Do you feel more optimistic or pessimistic?
"I do not know. Sure we're not slow, but I can't tell you if we're faster or slower than Red Bull and Mercedes, but it won't take long to find out."
