These are not easy moments for Carlos Sainz. The pilot of Ferrari is undoubtedly in difficulty. The performances are struggling to arrive, and the errors they continue to increase. But what exactly is happening at number 55 on the grid?
The feeling problem
One of the great difficulties that Sainz is certainly experiencing at the beginning of the season is the relationship with the F1-75. From the first race of the year, held in Bahrain, the Spaniard complained of a gut feeling. with the car still missing. The situation, during the seasonhasn't improved yet. Sainz struggles with an oversteering car, ideal for Leclerc instead, and he would prefer a more understeering Red.
Sainz: "I need time"
Sainz knows about not be 100% and, in sight of the Monaco GP, he told El Mundo Deportivo:
“I'm not riding naturally - He admitted - it's not easy. You can probably tell from the footage that I'm struggling a lot driving this car and figuring out how to get the most out of it. There's been a combination of bad luck and mistakes on my part, which doesn't help, but I think things will change in the future, either suddenly or gradually, but I just have to keep my head down. You can adjust or tune the machine a little more to your liking. These things take time, knowledge and experience, mistakes and trials. This is the process I'm in now, as I try to fix it as soon as possible."

The praise to Leclerc
If on the one hand there are those who struggle like Sainz, the same cannot be said for Leclerc. In fact, the performance of the Monegasque, leaving out lto the misfortune of Barcelona, is completely different from that of Sainz, who confirms:
"Charles sta driving to a very high standard. He is setting some super, really impressive times, always remaining aggressive in his driving style. I can only admire it and in some aspects copy it to be faster: that's all”.
