Qualifying in Montreal, Canada was undoubtedly the best of this season. The unpredictability, today, really gave his best. Despite that, pole(with a Leclerc out of the game) is as always of Max Verstappen. The first row, however, will be new. The Dutchman will indeed be accompanied by Fernando Alonso and Ferrari Carlos Sainz.
Good qualifying, now there's the race
It was also a good test for Carlos Sainz. The Spanish tried to look for the pole, but a small mistake on the last lap it not only cost him the first position, but also the second place taken by Alonso. In any case, a very important race and weekend are shaping up for the Madrilenian, considering that with his teammate last, he will be the spearhead.
Sainz: "I felt good with the car"
Responsibility on Sainz certainly has it, but despite everything, he is ready for tomorrow and confirm that it will be in full attack mode.
"Today I felt good in the car, especially in totally wet conditions. When the track was drying the others made progress while I was down a couple of tenths. I had the first fuchsia sector, but then I lost something in the second sector. In the third I tried to give everything but it went wrong in the last corner. I lost half a second, but I tried to attack to take pole. I finished third because of that mistake, but we are in a good position for tomorrow. It will be a good fight with Max up front and also with Fernando. He has been fast all weekend so we will see how he goes. Ferrari fans? Everywhere we go we have a huge fan base and here in Canada there are even more. I'll try to have a good race tomorrow and we'll see if I can fight for the win".
