“ Max forced us to push a lot and I had problems with the front left. But I kept believing it and stayed in the race. Then all of a sudden the Safety Car gave me the chance to get back into the lead and we did it. You can imagine the nerves I had in that restart. I knew it was my opportunity and I did it. Message to the public? Thank you all. Silverstone has always been special to me. Here I had collected my first pole position and first victory in F.BMW in 2010 and 12 years later I obtained the same result but in F1, with Ferrari. This is a special circuit for me”.
