Carlos Sainz preaches calm while analyzing the 676 Ferrari 2024. The Spaniard, following a not very brilliant season by the Maranello stable, prefers not to say too much about the analysis regarding the new - if desired, even the first real one - Ferrari with Frederic Vasseur license plate. "Certainly – explained Sainz – the 2024 Ferrari behaves differently than the SF-23. It must be said, however, that until we put the car on the track with the famous 100 kilograms of petrol and, above all, the used tyres, for us to be able to understand how the car works and how it treats the tires in particular with regards the race pace is practically impossible".
Sainz on the 2024 Ferrari: “We must focus on the indications from the wind tunnel”
To date, therefore, Sainz doesn't raise high expectations commenting on the 676 Ferrari 2024, even if he has already identified how long will you have to wait for the first results: “Ultimately, the truth will only be known when we get on track with the tests in Bahrain. For now, however, we can and we need to focus on performance and on the feedback the car gives us in the wind tunnel. We must and need to try to improve it".

The objective, it almost goes without saying, will be to try to do better than third position achieved in the constructors' championship, with Ferrari that in the last part of the season it came very close to Mercedes. The Brackley team, however, due to its greater performance in the race (unlike the reds that were flying in qualifying) managed to get the upper hand. Sainz, however, looks positive and asks the team to start again from the last races of 2023: "In the second part of the season it must be said that we did everything we could to try and maximize our potential. In this respect I think we did an excellent job. It seems almost absurd to believe and above all witness such clear changes in performance, but ultimately, this is modern Formula 1”, concluded the Spaniard.
