When the rain comes there Mercedes it doesn't get wet, on the contrary. On wet Friday's free practice at Suzuka it's a big one Mercedes which closes the FP2 in first place with Russell and second with Lewis Hamilton.
Good promises in the wet
Who knows what the possibilities of winning at least one race by Mercedes are possible this weekend in which, even if it is only Friday, the Brackley team has shown that it has the right stuff to be able to do well. To understand though how will the qualification of future which, at least for the moment, is expected to be dry. The goal of both drivers is clearly to try to redeem the Singapore race which, based on expectations, could have been a pro W13 and which instead turned into a weekend to forget.
Russell: “Unsignificant day”
Meanwhile, those who enjoy this great result are naturally George Russell who, at the end of the session, declared.
"I don't think these sessions will be as representative for the rest of the weekend, but they will be useful for the future – said the former Williams driver – there is a possibility that it will be wet on Sunday, while tomorrow it should be dry. In general though, it's always nice to finish ahead of everyone in the time sheet. There is certainly room for improvement as well”.
