Close to a definitive agreement. After many months of negotiation, the Formula One seems to be increasingly ready to welcome two new car manufacturers: Porsche e Audi, starting from 2026.
Porsche-Audi, here we are
Although one already knows of a almost definitive agreement that Porsche has found with Red Bull, it must be said that the official has not yet arrived precisely because of the postponement of the approval of the regulations. Once this happens, and is confirmed, there should be no more difficulties in order to formalize the entry of the two brands of the Volkswagen group.

The regulation (almost) approved
After the breakthrough on porposing, in which the FIA worked so much especially in view of the 2023 regulation, the next step concerns precisely the drafting of the technical regulation on the new engines. In fact, barring surprises, it seems that it has been defined and that Tuesday, August 16, the World Motorsport Council (WMSC) will be ready to confirm the new rules. The fuel will be bioethanol, already used at 10% this season, while the power units will not have the MGU-H. To remedy the loss of this component, the MGU-K will be strengthened, ready to supply more power equaling that guaranteed by the 6 cc endothermic V1600.

It's not over yet
There is still, however a very last step to overcome, relating a possible bonus to be given to new teams, or suppliers in the case of Porsche, ready to take over F1. On this issue there is still to be discussed, as if the bonus were to be accepted, it is inevitable that the agreement between Porsche and Red Bull can help the Milton Keynes team in no small way. For this Ferrari e Mercedes reflect and will be ready to have their say.
