It's a week to remember for Sergio Perez. The Mexican driver, after winning the Monaco Grand Prix as an absolute protagonist, ha officially renewed his contract with Red Bull.
The well-deserved renewal
The news was a bit in the air. In fact, Perez's start to the season was incredible. From the pole position in Jeddah to the victory in Monaco, the Mexican proved what it's made of, inserting itself (at least according to what it says ranking) overwhelmingly in the fight for the title between Leclerc and his teammate Verstappen.

Perez: “Perfect week. I'm very happy"
Performances that immediately convinced Horner and his team to renew the contract of the number 11 on the grid for another two years. In fact, Perez signed an extension to his contract with the Austrian team until 2024. Obviously, after the announcement, hers were not lacking first statements:
"For me, it has been an incredible week. Winning the Monaco Grand Prix is a dream for every driver and then following it up with the announcement that I will continue with this team until 2024 makes me so happy. I am proud to be a member of this team and feel completely at home. We are working very well together and my relationship with Max, both on and off the track, is definitely helping to push us even further. We've built tremendous momentum as a team and this season is showing, I'm excited to see where it can take us all in the future.".
Speak Horner
On the renewal of Perez, words could not fail by Red Bull team principal Christian Horner"Since joining Red Bull, Checo has done a fantastic job. He has proven time and time again that he is not only a magnificent team-mate, but as his comfort level has grown he has become a real force to be reckoned with on the grid.”
"This year he has taken another step forward and the gap to world champion Max has narrowed considerably, as demonstrated by his superb pole position at Jeddah earlier this year and from his stunning win in Monaco just last weekend. For us, maintaining his pace, racing ability and experience has been a breeze and we are delighted that Checo will continue to ride for our team until 2024. Together with Max, we believe we have a strong driver duo which can bring us the maximum prize in F1".
