After a start to the season that saw Red Bull practically dominate, in home Ferrari, headed by Frederic Vasseur, are hard at work to make a change to this vintage. The Maranello stable is already planning a series of news, which we will see from the next Grand Prix, with the goal to close the gap with the Milton Keynes team.
Red Bull flies with DRS
It certainly won't be easy, considering the great speeds that Red Bull touches this season. The RB19, in fact, is a car that has in DRS the fundamental element. The speeds that Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez manage to reach with the Drag Reduction System are very high and are proving to be the extra weapon of the world champion stable at this moment.
Vasseur: “We work to reach them”
On the subject, in the Ferrari house, they have arrived the words of Frederic Vasseur himself. The team principal of the red knows of the great strength of Red Bull with the DRS, but strongly believes that SF-23 (with work in progress at the factory) is not too far away: "The advantage that Red Bull has with DRS is very big, more than any other team. We have to understand Vasseur explained. how is it possible that they are able to have this performance. I still think we managed to compensate in some parts, but we still need to improve. It's not easy, but I think the difference was probably bigger last year, we probably expected to compensate a little bit more, but… yeah: the gap was bigger last year. We are working on this area: they have done something different and are doing it for the best, but we are there”.
