Despite there being no action on the track yet, February started with a bang for the world of Formula 1. After the announcement of Hamilton's move to Ferrari, it was the Red Bull team principal Christian horner to end up on the front pages of newspapers. The reason, however, is not so happy. A couple of days ago, the news came out that Red Bull would have launched internal investigations towards Horner and in the following hours the hypothesis that the historic team principal had sent inappropriate photos to a colleague in the team.
However, the The Sun he debunked what happened, explaining that Horner is accused of a too harsh work regime. Nothing, therefore, that has to do with the sexual sphere. The team principal will come questioned Friday by the independent lawyer. We'll see if, as was said a few days ago, Red Bull (which in the meantime, like Horner, has denied any rumour) will really want force him to resign. In that case, the number one candidate to take over from him would be the current sporting director Jonathan Wheatley.
The interrogation is the only certainty

However, it must be kept in mind that any news has never been confirmed by Red Bull, except that regarding next Friday's interrogation. “After becoming aware of the allegations, the company has launched an investigation towards Horner – we read in a press release from Red Bull Austria – The team tends to point out that it will take the investigation seriously and the matter will be completed as soon as possible. At the moment, having no certainties, it would be inappropriate to comment and add anything else on the matter".
Towards the presentation of the RB20
While waiting for the feedback from the interrogation, we also have to think about the lead. The 15 February, in fact, will be revealed new Red Bull RB20, title contender for the 2024 season. The Milton Keynes team, which finished first in both rankings in 2023, will be the last to present its car, less than a week before the scheduled tests in Bahrain from February 21st to 23rd.
