Qualifying for the Austin GP has just ended with the pole position of Carlos Sainz with a monstrous ride. The Spaniard took pole on the track without penalties given that Charles Leclerc it is behind alone 62 thousandths and, unless the penalty count is disrupted, he should start in twelfth position.
Giro monstre of Sainz who will start alongside Max
The ride of the Matador is nothing short of perfect: always on the thousandth with his teammate up to the second sector where he gains his advantage. With the penalty of the Monegasque, he will be starting in second position Max Verstappen that tries everything, but is not enough and you have to settle for the front row, not the first box.
Mercedes tries, but they are still behind together with Checo
Fourth position in qualifying (we'll see with the penalty) For Sergio Perez is it is not yet at the level of the top 3. They will start tomorrow in third and fourth position the two Mercedes, respectively with Hamilton and Russell: the two Silver Arrows try to the end, especially the seven-time world champion who also does some fuchsia here and there, but have to settle for only a second row.
Behind so many penalties, better wait for the official grid!
Among the many penalties that will have to be applied, qualifying tells us that we are in seventh position with great surprise Lance stroll which continues to impress with excellent performance. In eighth position Lando Norris and in the ninth, but with penalties to be applied, Fernando Alonso. In tenth position Valtteri Bottas. At the moment it is quite difficult to understand the starting grid for tomorrow's Austin GP, so it will be better to wait until tomorrow to have it the official grid provided directly by FIA.
