It was a qualifying full of fun, unpredictability, but always characterized by the same certainty, called Max Verstappen. The English driver also takes home pole position in qualifying at Silverstone, finishing ahead of the two McLarens of Norris and Oscar Piastri.
What a great McLaren!
The beautiful challenge for fifth place in the constructors' championship McLaren and Alpine sees the papaya team shine. Norris and Piastri literally take the stage and put together a sumptuous performance, achieving second and third place respectively, certifying once again the quality of the updates that were brought from Austria. At Alpine, however, it is Gasly to enter the top ten and tomorrow he will start in tenth place, while Ocon did not go beyond thirteenth position.
Red Bull flies with Max, but with Perez it doesn't take off
Always super Max. Once again this season there is his signature. Yet another pole position, in which Verstappen demonstrated that he has the fastest car, but at the same time that he is a real phenomenon in knowing how to handle it. In fact, if on the one hand, once again, we celebrate the result brought home by Verstappen, however Sergio Perez continues to rain in the wet. For the fifth time this season the Mexican fails to reach Q3. Today, however, things went even worse: In fact, Perez was eliminated in Q1, finishing in sixteenth place in the standings. It certainly won't be easy for the Red Bull number #11 called, as last week in Austria, to a new comeback race.
Ferrari, qualifying is ok. Now it's time for the race
Ferrari is also present on the Silverstone track. Yesterday Friday confirmed that the Red team could obtain a good position, and so it did. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will start in fourth and fifth position, ahead of its rivals. With a "qualifying" confirmation having arrived for the Red, now it's time for the race - which will be the real acid test.
Spectacular Albon
It is worth highlighting the wonderful performance of Albon who, throughout the weekend, pushed hard and managed to conquer the eighth box. Tomorrow the Thai will be called to finish on a high note, trying to confirm an eighth place which would be more than valuable for him and his team.

Aston lackluster
In Aston Martin however, it's just Fernando Alonso the top ten is central. The Spaniard snatches ninth position and prepares for an attacking race tomorrow, in which his tire management can be a very important weapon for him. The difficulty phase continues for Lance Stroll, only twelfth, also behind Nico Hulkenberg's Haas.

Qualification to forget
However, the enormous difficulties continue for Alfa Romeo and for the AlphaTauri. The Biscione team doesn't go any further fifteenth place with Bottas and eighteenth with Zhou. At AlphaTauri instead, seventeenth place Tsunoda and in the penultimate place with De Vries. To close the ranking there is Magnussen's Haas caused the red flag in Q1 due to another technical problem on his car. Thus ends the qualification for the British Grand Prix. See you tomorrow, with the race starting at 16.00 pm.
