The first race of the season has been consigned to the archives. The show was amazing. We can say it: Formula One, we really missed you. Just as we missed Ferrari, which is finally back. The winner is Charles Leclerc who finishes ahead of his teammate Sainz and Lewis Hamilton. Let's find out the votes of this Grand Prix together.
The podium
1 Charles Leclerc
There is practically little to say. The race of the Reds and the weekend of the Monegasque were perfect. Never a mistake and conducting an excellent race. Rating 10.
2 Carlos Sainz
Always on the spot and very good at staying on the attack on Verstappen, to then take advantage of the fuel problem that hit the Dutchman. And to think that the Spaniard, based on his statements, has never managed to find the right feeling with the F1-75. Think about what would happen if he were to take control of it. Vote 9.
3 Lewis Hamilton
There would be so much to say, and above all to understand, on the Mercedes strategy. Returning to the pits and putting on the hard tires was a surprising choice, without however giving the desired results. The English driver is still struggling too much with the W13, but thanks the Red Bull problems. For the weekend carried out, the podium is worth gold. Vote 8.
In the top ten
4George Russell
A good debut, as well as his fourth position conquered following a good comeback. The only flaw: besides the car, he is practically never in the heart of the action on the track. Rating 7.
5Kevin Magnussen
It may be the Ferrari engine, but the work done by the Danish driver was exceptional. Arrived very recently, he takes the place of Mazepin and, despite the many problems he had before the tests, takes his VF-22 to Q3 on Saturday and to fifth place in the race. Vote 9.
6 Valtteri Bottas
Change car but not its performance. Despite the departure, very revisable, he succeeds in a great comeback and participates in the great Ferrari-powered party. Vote 8.
7 Esteban Ocon
Too bad for the penalty in the first laps but, after tests in which the reliability problem was evident, he finished in the top ten and ahead of his teammate. Vote 7.
8 Yuki Tsunoda
The only joy in the Honda house. Started sixteenth, he managed a great comeback and, above all, to finish the race. Vote 7.
9Fernando Alonso
Solid race for the good Fernando who, despite finishing behind his team-mate, manages to collect the first two points of the season which are always important for the constructors. Vote 6.5.
10 Zhou
To be the first time in Formula One, the debut of the Chinese is undoubtedly promoted. He closes the top ten and allows Alfa to have two drivers in the points zone. Vote 6.5.
Out of the points zone
11 Mick Schumacher
He lacks access to the points zone, but his weekend is undoubtedly very positive. Lots of overtaking and very often at the center of the action. Vote 6.5.
12 Lance Stroll
He tries to raise his head slightly after three really unwatchable days for him and for the team. Vote 5.5.
13 Alexander Albon
He returns to Formula One without exalting too much, but he doesn't even run a bad race. Vote 6.
14 Daniel Ricciardo
The situation at McLaren is certainly not the best. For Ricciardo, the road is undoubtedly uphill and not having carried out the tests (due to Covid) does not help him at all. However, he finishes ahead of his teammate, but we're not there like that. Rating 5.
15 Lando Norris
Total sinking by the number four of the grid. Incredible difficulties encountered with his team, and to think that until last year they were fighting for third place in the constructors. Vote 4.5.
16 Nicolas Latifi
Still battling for the last few positions, but it must be said that with this car, for now, you can't ask for more. Vote 5.
17 Nico Hulkenberg
Arriving Thursday night, he gets behind the wheel of a car of which he knows none of the components. SV
