Desire to implement revolution, which is not the common denominator of innovation. The Formula 1 is going through one of the best moments of his entire long career from many points of view, but that's exactly how you risk "take the finger with the whole hand".
The goal: to minimize free practice
Hot topic of the last few hours are the words of Stefano Domenicali. The Chief Executive Officer of Formula 1 in fact, guest during the Portimao Grand Prix of MotoGP, did not miss the opportunity to return to a topic very dear to him: the elimination of free trials. In particular, Domenicali underlined the great step forward taken by the top management of the MotoGP, who have decided to give space to the Sprint (which will take place every Saturday afternoon), bringing qualifying forward to Saturday morning. All this, according to what the CEO said, is directly proportionate to the show, to what the public loves to see.

Domenicali: "Free practice is of interest to engineers, not the public"
So will revolution be implemented in Formula 1? It is still early to say, considering that to implement regulatory changes you need the ok FIA, to this day still very taciturn. And it is precisely this silence that pleases Sundays: “The new format (in reference to the MotoGP) is very nice. I am an advocate – admitted Domenicali – the cancellation of the free practice sessions. They are of great use to engineers, this is true, but they are little liked by the public. It is important that there is action every day. All of this could add further intensity to the show: everyone wants to see the cars on the track to race”.
The CEO doesn't give up
Domenicali, therefore, believes it and will try to push towards this solution, also because by now the only real goal of F1 is to be and to make a show.
