It was a tight qualification, in which, for the umpteenth time, it was Charles who won Leclerc. During the qualifications in Baku, during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, the driver of Ferrari he finished ahead of Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen.
Fight in…three?
Red Bull it's still there. The pair of riders for now represents a great certainty. Perez in fact, after the Munich victory and renewal, continues his great period of form and concludes qualifying in second place, once again in front of Verstappen. Perez is enjoying it more and more and who knows if the fight for the title, for now between Verstappen and Leclerc, may soon add another competitor.
Missed pole, Perez's comment
After qualifying, the Mexican driver of Red Bull seems to complain about some problems had on the car before the last hit in Q3: “When you get to Q3 you get the balls out. In some situations we got really close to the wall and survived. But it was not the ideal qualification. Eventually we had engine problems. We couldn't turn it on and 'pull it up'. We lacked something potency. I don't know if it would have been enough for pole, but we certainly lost something in terms of power. But I think Charles did a great lap.".

Perez on the race
The South American pilot always answers the question regarding his position on the starting grid, ahead of reigning world champion Max Verstappen: “In front of Max? There race tomorrow will be long. We just have to be there to fight. At any time you can go wrong here, you have to be careful”.
