After a year, at least for now, very fluctuating and a great difficulty in this last part of the season, one might say who's going to see each other again. In qualifications of the Singapore Grand Prix it is Sergio Perez who snatches the second position, behind Charles Leclerc.
The return
In a weekend in which he did not shine, Perez has a great opportunity: to try to aim for victory, even if it will not be easy to overtake Leclerc. The Mexican will also try to take advantage of the difficulties encountered by his teammate Verstappen who will start eighth. It's not an easy weekend for Red Bull, but Perez seems to be the only one who can bring the right calm within the team in difficulty both due to track and non-track problems.
Perez: "We need to start well"
So tomorrow at home Red Bull, Perez will be in the spotlight, he knows it and he declared at the end of qualifying.
“Tomorrow we have to start well, we can attack Charles immediately and aim for victory. Too bad I lost pole by just 2 cents, but it's a great result for the team. The team has done a fantastic job. I'm really happy. The weather conditions have been treacherous and tomorrow they could change at any time. It will be crucial not to make any mistakes and have a clean race."
