Poleman Charles Leclerc, along with GuanYu Zhou and Yuki Tsunoda, was called up a few hours after the end of the qualifying session. All three drivers were accused of completing a lap slower than the limit of 1 minute and 36 seconds, calculated from the end of the pit lane to the beginning of it. The fans of the redhead breathe a sigh of relief: The Monegasque driver managed to hold on to the well-deserved start from the pole, demonstrating that the cause of the too slow lap was that he had done everything not to hinder his colleagues. Therefore, any penalties on the starting grid that would have probably complicated tomorrow's race were avoided, as he could in fact find himself behind the two Red Bulls, without counting on the support of his teammate at least for the first part of the Grand Prix. The same decision for the Alfa Romeo driver GuanYu Zhou, who will therefore start from 14th place. Instead, he reprimands for Yuki Tsunoda, who will start ahead of Zhou anyway.
Sergio Perez
With the exception of Sergio Perez, who after an investigation into an alleged 'non-slowdown' under the yellow flag in Q2, demonstrated with the help of telemetry that he had not violated the regulation. So he starts from third position for the Mexican, just behind his teammate.
Alex Albon disqualified
The misadventures in the Williams family continue, which after the Canadian Nicholas Latifi's accident, is faced with a tough decision by the race stewards, who have decided to disqualify Alex Albon from the qualifying session that took place in the evening. The causes would be attributable to the lack of the minimum liter of fuel needed by the FIA delegates to verify the compliance of the single-seater with the regulations at the end of the qualifying tests. The result will be the start from the last place; therefore an exchange of positions between stroll, who will start 19th, and Albon, who after qualifying with the nineteenth time, will start last.
