It is said that in life there are few certainties, one of these is seeing Max Verstappen as the most chosen driver in Fanta F1 in the season that has just ended. He demonstrated this amply to us during a season in which he took 17 victories, finishing off the podium only once. But besides him there were other pilots who stood out. So let's see the top 5 of the season at Fanta F1.
The 2023 season will be remembered as the season in which Max Verstappen and Red Bull rewrote many of the numerous records in Formula 1 with their dominance. But not only that. It will be remembered as the one of broken promises by Ferrari and Mercedes. Bets collected by Aston Martin and McLaren. Both didn't know how they would start or end the year and in both cases the evolution was surprising. Aston Martin immediately showed itself to be competitive, losing out over the course of the season. For McLaren it was the opposite process. Having started the year badly, they were able to get back on the right path by collecting podiums and precious points, in the year in which they had a roockie, Oscar Piastri, race.
Oscar's debut was definitely the best among the young debutants. In fact, we lost one of them, De Vries, during the current season because his performances did not convince Red Bull to keep him in AlphaTauri. We found Ricciardo who replaced him. His season at Fanta F1 ended with a positive balance, and an average of +2.05. However, let's see who the drivers are who finished the season with a higher average and the general classification with all the average points at Fanta F1.

The top 5 at Fanta F1
Verstappen: Max Verstappen is first on the list. Not that it surprises us. At the age of 26 he won his third world title, definitively taking a place among the greats of Formula 1. His average points at the end of the season was +35. In addition to the Dutchman's talent, the Fantamanagers were also able to count on great reliability of the RB19. Max is the only driver to never retire. furthermore, out of 22 races he finished on the podium 21 times. Who knows if there will be more seasons like this for Max.
Perez: For the first time, Perez had to face his teammate, Verstappen, coming out defeated. His performance was rather mixed. His average at Fanta F1, +16.61, is not comparable to that of Max but as in championship, even at Fanta F1 he is still the second best driver on the grid.
Hamilton: This year too Lewis lacked his main weapon, the car. Lewis' average, + 14.3, is lower than that of Perez who took home two victories. Although he has been fasting for two years now, this time his season went better than that of George Russell who is not included in this top 5.
Norris: however, another young player enters the top 5, Lando Norris. McLaren made an impressive comeback in the second half of the Formula 1 season. After a difficult start the Woking team worked intensively to make the car competitive. Norris achieved seven podiums in this second phase of the championship and this raised the average up to +14.18.
Alonso: last but not least a lion who at 42 years old is still dangerously active and who lit up Fanta F1 in the first part of the season. Alonso was able to exploit the potential of the AMR100 23% in the first phase of the season, even coming very close to a victory that he has dreamed of for years now. His final average is +13.84. Too bad for the setback after the summer break. But this is also a great result. After all, we are just at the beginning of his adventure at Aston Martin.
