Norris and Piastri form the youngest driver duo in the paddock but not the most immature, on the contrary. Although the two began working together last season with Oscar's debut, the team has already had a taste of the potential of this line up and the duel between the two young talents. In 2024 the challenge will become even more interesting. Lando wants to defend the role from team leader, Oscar wants to prove that he didn't arrive in Formula 1 by chance. What will be the next step in this rivalry? And what potential do Norris and Piastri have at Fanta F1?
Norris vs Piastri, the 2024 challenge at Fanta F1
The 2024 season is getting closer and closer. Almost all the dates of the presentations of the 10 single-seaters are known and in just over a month we will fly to Bahrain for the tests preceding the first race scheduled for March 2nd. And of course, the closer we get the more we wonder what rivalries we'll experience this season. Which teams will keep the promises that are made every year when the veils are taken off the single-seaters, when they are put on the track for the first time.
Last season left us quite dissatisfied. Like when we get up from the table after a dinner where we eat but without being satisfied. We saw more competition at the end than in the previous two-thirds of the season. This is because many teams have been able to capitalize on developments, and have introduced us to new rivalries. Like the one we are about to talk about, and which sees the two McLaren drivers as protagonists: Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. The new and the "old" guard of the Woking team - even if calling Norris old is an understatement. The two closed the season 205 to 97 for Norris. Also at the Fanta F1 Norris won the battle with his teammate, on his F1 debut.

If you believe in one McLaren fighting for the title is difficult, but it is less difficult to imagine a team capable of constantly fighting for the podium. And, above all, do it with both drivers. The arrival of Oscar, who escaped from the Alpine Academy, brought a lot of attention and pressure to his entry into Formula 1. Unfortunately, the MCL60 at the start of the season was not yet complete and this affected the initial results. There was talk of a deep crisis, of a hole in the water for Piastri and of the uncertain future for McLaren. However, the music changed over the course of the season. With the updates Piastri and the MCL60 have shown their true potential, impressing everyone.
The Australian will be able to count on greater confidence compared to last season but will it be enough to contain his teammate? On the other side of the box there is indeed Lando Norris, driver on whom McLaren has already focused for years. Although his age is still relatively young he already has experience in F1 ed he is a real reference for the team. This factor in 2024 could make the difference in the fight against Piastri. Especially in competition where experience is needed more than talent.
