The 2023 Formula 1 season is ready to get underway. Next week we will fly to Italy, with the Imola GP which represents the first stage in Europe of this year. Red Bull has for the moment dominated and, in this respect, the top teams are called for redemption. Classic Ferrari for sale, Mercedes and also Aston Martin, which for now in terms of performance is the second strength of the championship, will bring lots of updates to try to rekindle a very disappointing start to the season at the moment.
Pirelli, worrying data on tires in Miami
However, the teams will not be the only ones to bring news during the championship. It is in fact expected, according to what the RacingNews365 magazine reports, a major update of Pirelli. In the Miami Grand Prix, Max Verstappen surpassed the track record by almost two seconds compared to last year, reaching together with the other teams the load expected by Pirelli towards the end of 2023. Obviously, this figure implies a greater effort on the part of the tyres.

New tire specs from Silverstone
For this reason, Pirelli runs for cover. From what filters, it seems that the company with the long P will lead a new tire specification starting from the Silverstone GP, scheduled for 9 July. Pirelli's idea is to start on a historic track like the British one, which due to the characteristics of the track requires more effort on the tires. It will be super useful, in this aspect, see how these sets perform on similar tracks such as Belgium, Holland and Japan. However, it should be remembered that the compounds, more than confirmed, will not undergo any changes. To wait for this announcement, we will need the ratification of the World Motor Sport Council, even if in this case we speak of a formality.
