During the Easter holidays, these are certainly not easy days for Formula One and Liberty Media. Indeed, the managers of the Circus are studying the structure of the new calendar for the 2023 season. There is no shortage of innovations for the start of this new era, such as the entry from Las Vegas which will be the third stage in America of the season.
Days of negotiation
On the question mark instead two tracks that have represented, and still do today, the history of Formula One: Monaco and Spa. The two tracks are at risk for next year. In fact, agreements are still missing, even if Formula One is willing to continue together for both tracks.
Gasly: "These tracks must be on the calendar"
They will therefore be days of long negotiations for Liberty Media. We are talking about two tracks loved by everyone, fans and riders included. This is testified by Pierre Gasly who dwelt on the subject: “Monte-Carlo feels like a home race, Spa is the closest race to my hometown so I usually have a lot of support there. I think they are very iconic tracks, they are my two favorite tracks. They are clearly part of the history and DNA of Formula 1 and deserve to be on the calendar every year".
