The presentation of the 2024 cars by Mercedes e McLaren the next one will happen 14 February. Based on what was told by Motorsport.com Italy, it seems in fact that both teams have identified the date of Valentine's day the right day to be able to present the cars which - given what last season told us - will have to be great protagonists in 2024. Both teams, therefore, will present their respective single-seaters the day after the Ferrari, who will unveil his 676 about 24 hours earlier, on February 13th.
Mercedes like McLaren: the cars will be presented on February 14th
After last week's fire-up, Mercedes seems to have already decided on the date on which the car will be presented for 2024. We are talking about a concept which, barring any twists and turns, will be completely different compared to that seen on the W13 and W14. “The 2022 car was my worst result” Toto Wolff admitted in an interview that, after the less than positive results (no victories in the season) also obtained with the W14, he decided to move on and it will – with the arrival of Allison in place of Elliott – as early as 2024.
McLaren: the year of truth
A different discussion, however, should be made for the McLaren. After a start to forget (with Norris and Piastri finishing the first race of the season at the back), the Woking team was able to raise its head again. The updates, which were seen above all from the Austrian GP, have allowed the MCL60 to have its say, with Norris e Piastres who in various circumstances have proven to be the second force on the track, behind only the dominant duo of Verstappen and the RB19. 2024, therefore, must be a bit of a year of consecration for McLaren which, like Mercedes, will give its first start on 14 February, exactly one week before the start of the season, which will take place with the tests scheduled in Bahrain.
