Laurent Mekies is ready for his new adventure from team principal of AlphaTauri. The former Ferrari track director, following the gardening of 6 months concluded with Maranello stable, is more than prepared for the challenge with the Faenza team. Before officially starting the new adventure, the Frenchman sent a message – on the platform LinkedIn – to all the Ferrari fans with whom he shared his last 5 years on the track. “As my chapter with Ferrari comes to an end, it's time for power thank and greet the entire Scuderia for five unforgettable years”, wrote new team principal AlphaTauri Mekies.

"We crossed together both moments of highs and lows, struggling every day and we gave everything we could. My head and my heart they are full of indelible memories, which I will always cherish for the rest of my life. To all the amazing people at Scuderia Ferrari – continued the Frenchman – and to all their incredibles supporters, I want to say thank you for your unconditional support and for everything we have experienced".
Mekies, therefore, officially bids farewell to Ferrari in order to focus on AlphaTauri. An important challenge, full of commitment especially if we consider the great difficulties that the Faenza team went through during the 2023 season. The new year must be for Alpha - which barring twists will soon become Racing Bulls – that of the turning point. The objective will be to raise our heads and try to fight for the positions that count again.
